29. part 1

i turned 29 on the 21st.
i love disneyland at Christmas, so i really wanted to go for my birthday.
me, jacob, gabriella, jake, melonie, nana, grandma, grandpa, analisa, mitch and kainoa ALL went!
it wasn't crowded! and we rode TONS of rides, with SHORT lines...
it was a great, wonderful, terrific, magical day... it even snowed at DiSnEyLaNd!

the girls REALLY wanted to go on Dumbo.

we waited in line a little...
buzz light year is daddy's favorite ride.
it was a great time and birthday.
29 is sooooo old! where does the time go?

i had gabriella and melonie decorate all of our gifts this year!
our gifts have never been cuter and each one had it's own character.
lots of hard work went into each one.
when they were done i put a big wire ribbon bow on them!
i want to do this again next year to see how they turn out.
it will be fun to compare from year to year as they get older.

we celebrated with lots of family.
I love the Christmas season and am so thankful for the birth of our Savior!

we got to see a live nativity at a church down the street from our new house.
the girls are still young, but i am so glad they got to see it.
i hope the love of our Savior is in your hearts and shining bright in your life this New Year!

the girls got candy canes at the nativity, so they were happy:)

wordless wednesday

spicy pumpkin pancakes

2 1/3 cups Bisquick original baking mix

1/3 cup canned pumpkin

1 1/4 cups milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

2 tablespoons sugar

3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

2 eggs

1. heat griddle or skillet, grease if necessary. stir all ingredients until blended.

2. pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto hot griddle.

3. cook until edges are dry. turn, cook until golden brown.

makes about 18 (little) pancakes.

taco soup and pumpkin pancakes.

this morning gabriella wanted taco soup for breakfast.
so i warmed it up for her and she started eating.

jake was eating a pumpkin pancake and i set his extra on the table,
i looked over and all of jake's extra pancake was gone!
in the mean time gabriella was also eating her taco soup...
i asked her if she wanted more and she said yes.

so she ate two pumpkin pancakes and taco soup for breakfast...
and loved every bite:)

over thanksgiving/Christmas we have played a lot of BANANAGRAMS!

erica and i played lots and lots and LOTS!

if you have family coming into town, or neighbors over and you need a fun game...
i would highly recommend this game!

while we played this...(which many people can play at one time)
jacob and rob bought and traded cards...
we also celebrated Christmas with them and Gabriella's birthday...

today.

we found out that gabi has a double ear infection...

i am loving this gloomy rainy weather!
our taco soup is cooking away in the crock pot...perfect for a cold day!

AND the best news of all...
GABI WEIGHS 25 LBS!!! YEAH!!!!!

big plans for the weekend...
my mom and i are making pumpkin logs for Christmas gifts! yummy:)

ok i am going to clean something...or have some coffee!!

hi all.

alright i think things are back to normal...

we celebrated thanksgiving with both of our families.
here are some pics of everything we did on thanksgiving...

broncos game.
yummy food.
rode bikes.
practiced walking and gave lots of kisses to cute little babes.
played ball.
and gave thanks!

we all had a great time.
and...we shopped til we dropped...we got home at about 3am!
we can't wait til papa will be home for next thanksgiving!

update on the babies.

the boys were born this afternoon.
it sounds like they are doing well!

please continue to pray for them as they grow in the hospital!

sorry i haven't written in such a long time.
there are so many things going on in our lives.
i will write about all we have been doing later,
but for now....

jacob's cousin is getting ready to deliver 29 week old twins boys!
Miles and Jaxon are going to be very premature
and having gone through all of this
I am asking that you all pray for strong babies
with no infections and strong lungs!!

thank you and i will keep you updated as i find things out.

GABRIELLA RAE is 3 today!

she is 16 times BIGGER today than she was on the day she was born!

she is so special to us all!

she has a strong personality and a sweet heart!

she started out in this world just 12 inches long, but she has always been a fighter!

she was bound and determined to make it...

we are so thankful for all of the prayers and wonderful nurses and doctors and our strength in God to get us through that hard time.
today we are celebrating another wonderful year with her in our family!

our lives have never been the same since the day we found out:
we were 3 months pregnant...
then 3 months later SHE was born...
3 months early...

TODAY our precious girl is 3 years old!

Gabriella we love you SO much!

just hanging out.

we are just hanging around the house today...

it sprinkled last night so the ground is a little wet and the air is crisp!

i am just enjoying my coffee until the girls WAKE UP!!

then it will get REALLY loud in here REALLY fast!

until then i am just thinking of all i need to do today...

and just hanging out!

we have the first signs of color in our new house.
there is still a lot to be done, but it is starting to look GREAT!
