been there done that.

well, yesterday morning our precious gabriella had her splint off
because i was about to get her dressed.
she stood up, took a step, tripped, fell and she RE-BROKE HER ARM
we are very sad for her and just frustrated
that the bones did not heal all the way.
she was 1 week away from going back to the orthopedic
to no longer have to wear the splint.
it is very frustrating because this time she broke it MUCH worse!
the x-rays are enough to make you want to throw up!
we went to the ER near our house and they told us we had to go straight to
Children's Hospital in San Diego.
so, we went and they had to put her to sleep to reset the bones and put her in a cast. it was a very traumatic day!
we ask that you will pray that she will not have to have surgery and that those bones will heal stronger and firmer than last time!
we believe that the doctor's can only do so much, but God is ultimately in control, so we will continue praying for healing.
we go back in a week for an x-ray and new cast.
we will see how those little bones are doing.

taking flight...

we are back from our trip!
we all had a wonderful time.
we got to spend quality time with auntie erica and uncle rob
we spent 3 days in colorado, 5 days in kansas and then back to colorado
our drive from kansas to colorado was only 14 1/2 hours long...
the kids were VERY good, just tired from so many hours in the car.
the wedding was beautiful!
here are a few pics from the wedding...
this is where the wedding was. they set up white chairs on the lawn facing the house, with a simple runner down the center of the aisle. it was perfect.
the happy couple after the ceremony. sara jo's dad recently built a new hanger for his plane so that is where the reception was.
of course gabriella had to sit in the plane!
our little family.
they always bring a smile to my face!
uncle rob and auntie erica were in the wedding! we love you guys!

Friday we are going to story time at the library, gabriella will check out books and i will pay our late fee from the last time we checked out books and didn't return them in time. it should be a good time!

Indoor Tent.

from the look of it, it looks like your run of the mill homemade tent,
but if only you could hear the laughter coming from the inside!
it was the funnest thing gabriella has ever done, the smiles tell it all...

jake has a tortilla on his head and tigger's tail in his mouth...
a fun daddy was all it took to make this possible!

Being a MOM

being a MOM is a wonderful thing.
i get to care for my children just like my MOM did for me.
i am so blessed to have two healthy babies.
a MOM that has always loved and cared for me.
a Mother-in-law who loves me and cares for me too.
my MOM was there to help me up when i flew over the handle bars on my bike.
my MOM carried me to the the house to tell my dad i needed stitches.
my MOM went on every field trip, she was at every swim meet, she was at every basketball game... she was always there to support us, whether we won or lose.
my MOM helped me plan a beautiful wedding.
my MOM drove to the hospital 3-4 hours almost everyday for four months when i had gabriella even if she only got to visit and see gabby 10 minutes.
my MOM has always been an example of a hard working, loving, caring, Christian MOM.
my only hope is that i can raise my children and they will have the amount of respect that i do for my MOM...
i love you MOM!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Maria Tortilla!!!
maria is one of my BESTEST FRIENDS EVER!
she's the kind of friend that i don't get to see for a long time
and then when i finally do it's like time has not passed
and we can pick up right where we left off.
when i left for college i knew that our friendship would last the long distance
and it truly has...

i met Maria in 1995 at summer basketball.
WOW time goes by so fast.
she was my Maid of Honor in my wedding.
she has always been and always will be a GREAT Friend!
Thanks for teaching me how to make quesadilla's!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIA TORILLA!
