Who's Walking Who?

Walking Hurley...
gabriella loves to take hurley for walks.

she asks to take him for a walk everyday.

he is such a good boy.

he puts up with running or walking or just standing, 

whatever she wants to do....

sometimes he decides to take over... 

tonight we are having homemade chicken pot pie.

i have never made it before, so hopefully it turns out yummy.

rolling around

Jake is on the move!
jake rolled over for the first time today.
i loved that i was able to see him roll for the first time.
notice that was singular, because he only did it one time.
he didn't want to do it again for his daddy, but i know he will do it again soon.


jake has one favorite toy.
gabriella likes to make sure he always has it.
he likes to chew it and squeal a lot when he plays with it.


everyday gabby wants to "hold my jake"
she says "legs, arms" which means she wants him to sit on her lap.
he is as big as her so it always makes me laugh, but she loves it!

ok, well tomorrow i am going to be making baby food for jakey.
i'm going to make a big batch of bananas and freeze them.
it will probably take me all day because i still have to go buy the ice cube trays. HA!
i love having kids. (wow that is still weird that i have two kids!)
before them i would have run one errand
and been home within about an hour, but now....
it will take half the day to get ready, go and get home.
oh well it is worth every minute.
i am so thankful to stay at home with my little monkeys.

a day of firsts.

gabby got her first haircut!

i started telling her the day before she was going to sit on mommy's lap 

and daddy was going to take pictures so she would know what to expect.

she was such a good girl.

Little Patty was very patient and kind with Gabriella.

then when she was done she got a certificate and her first lollipop!

Her cousin Kai also got his haircut. 

Here they are happy that it is all over!

school is back in session.

classes have begun again!

i am taking Accounting 145 at mira costa college.

which translates to individual income tax!

my mom, dad and i are all taking the same online class.

my mom and i did our first assignment yesterday

and my mom posted her first assignment under my name!

we were laughing so hard because she didn't know she had done it 

until she turned the assignment in. 

so next year i can do taxes for anyone that would like to hire me!

my wonderful husband has always done our taxes so 

this will give him one less thing to do. 

pretty much the only thing i can do to help you out

Happy Birthday MOM

Happy Birthday Mom!

thank you for loving and caring for all of us so much.

we couldn't ask for a better mom.

you have been such a wonderful example of what a Mom 

should be and do for her family.

i am so grateful to be able to spend this day with you.

gabriella and jake are very lucky to have such a wonderful nana.

we hope you have a wonderful birthday!

doctors visit

yesterday the kiddos had doctor's apts.

getting shots is not fun for anyone. 

another thing that is not fun is waiting 2

hours in the waiting room with all of the sick babies.

gabriella insisted on standing on a baby chair 

to look into the fish tank.

she also made friends with every kid under about 4.

she also was enjoying one babies socks and 

looking in diaper bags, or anything she could get her little hands on! 

thank goodness my mom was with me, because 

i just don't think i could do it with both of them at these ages.

one good thing about the visit was we got to see one of gabriella's 0ccupational therapists in the waiting room.  She helped gabriella learn how to suck with the bottle while she was in the NICU. She has a precious 5 day old baby girl.  It was so great to see her. We are so blessed to have met so many genuine, caring people while gabriella was growing.  I thank the Lord everyday for gabriella's life with us. 

So at the visit gabriella was supposed to get her second flu shot, which she didn't end up needing and then jake had to get his 4 month shots, but most importantly it was WEIGH IN TIME!!!

gabriella weighed in at 19 lbs. 9 oz. 

jake weighed in at 16 lbs. 1 oz.

Jacob thinks jake will weigh more than gabriella by their next apt. in two months! 

We'll see.

So after all was said and done, 

we walked into the office at 2:30 and we were leaving at 5:05! 

what a visit!!!

my camera has arrived.

it has finally arrived!

for my birthday and Christmas i asked for 

"moneys" or maybe it's "monies"

(as Gabriella would say).

i was saving up to get this beauty.

it took a very long time to get here, 

but it has finally arrived.....

it is a Canon Rebel XS with a 18-55 mm lens and a 75-300 mm lens. 

it is so fun. 

i would like to take a photography class someday!

until then i will just read my little manual to learn how to use my camera.

last friday we told gabriella we would go to the park

on saturday morning.

then we had to rush to get to jacob's  cousins' house 

to watch the san diego super chargers play!

as we drove by the park jacob and i both realized

at the same time that we didn't go to the park.

immediately gabriella started saying

"MY PARK!! MY PARK!! MY SLIDE!!"

we both felt very bad, so we went on Monday evening.

(even though it was already dark at like 4:45)

she had a great time.

gabriella loves to pick out her own outfits.

maybe one of these days i will do a post

of just her in all of her OWN outfits.

jake loved the park too!

i am trying to learn photoshop, so hopefully

my picture editing skills will become much better

because as you can tell i didn't edit these at all.

i am going to try to post more often.
