peeking in.

i was just peeking in on the kids and it was the cutest little thing.
they were having story time...

mel was reading fancy dancy (aka fancy nancy).

she was pointing to things and asking gabi questions just like i do.

yes, gabi is wearing jake's jammies.

my blogspot is being really weird.
spacing, pictures it just isn't working right.
i'm hoping it gets fixed real soon.

bee sting.

gabriella got her first bee sting on her toe.
she wasn't wearing shoes and stepped on the bee.
she screamed... but when the stinger was out. she was ok.


isn't she just the cutest little thing.
and with those glasses, couldn't be any cuter!

our weekend.

this was the first weekend we have stayed home and just done stuff around the house.
we got a lot done and had lots of help!
it was lots of fun!



jacob worked all day to get this spot nice to store our trailer.
it turned out great.

i also got a little work gone on my garden area...a very little.
all in all a great couple of days!

busy as a bee.

i have been very busy with lots of projects.
i have even been setting my alarm about an hour earlier than normal to get some extra sewing time in.
here is a little peek at all of the projects i have been working on.

five silly skirts, four to be added to my shop very soon.

two more of these driving away!
two personalized onesis...can't show yet.

two flower pins...i will make some of those for my shop soon too.

i need to be getting the dirt ready in our yard for our garden that needs to be planted like today...not going to happen, but needs to be done.

working in the garage. getting boxes unpacked...still.

there is so much to always be doing. but i would rather have a lot to do then to be sitting around bored!
back to work!

potty!

jake pottied in the potty!
last week we got it out since he was wanting on the big one after the girls were done.
i know 18 mos. is young, but i thought i would put it in the bathroom so he could start getting used to the fact that someday he will not be wearing diapers!!! yeah!!

he was very interested and he wanted to carry it all over the house the first day.
i had to keep reminding him it belonged in the bathroom.
so i have been putting him on it before baths and he never goes and then he has been wanting to get on after baths and sometimes throughout the day.
i am not pressuring him at all.
last week he was pulling at his diaper and wanting in the bathroom and i took him in and he had just gone in his diaper...impressive.

so tonight he got on before his bath and then he was fussing to get on after his bath and i put him on and told him not to get up because he wants to sit and stand a bunch of times, but it is very different this time around with a boy...need i say more.

anyway, i went in and got the girls dressed and he came walking in and i didn't even think anything of it.
i went to go clean up the bath toys and he came in and was looking in it.....he went!!!!!!
i know it may not happen again for months, but i was very excited for him.
he is growing up soooooo fast. it makes me sad.
i love you my jakey!

girls lunch.

this saturday i went to lunch with blondie and annie!
it was so great to catch-up and chat for a few hours.
i met them in college and am so thankful for their friendship.

cows.

did anyone get a visit from some cows last night.
gabriella said they were coming so she left them some food in our kitchen.
this morning i walked out into the kitchen and this is what i saw.
no cows had come and eaten the food that she had left out for them!
i was going to clean it up, but i thought i would leave it so she could see it when she got up.

i said, "the cows did not come last night."
she said confidently, "they are coming..."

so if you see any cows around your house today please send them to ours because we have food sitting out for them to enjoy!:)

serger.

yesterday jacob got me a serger.
i have been trying to thread this thing the WHOLE day.
and finally it worked!!
i am so excited!
we got if off craigslist from an 80+ year old guy.
his wife had died 3 years ago and he was just now selling it.
he said she only used it a couple of times.

it got me thinking...
how can you be married to someone for so many years and then have to sell their personal belongings.
how hard that would be!

well, since i don't know anything about sergers it is going to be a fun adventure.
i finally got a good stitch!

i will surely miss.

here are some things i will surely miss when my babies are all grown up...
wow to even say that makes me get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes!

a little 18 mo. old boy running through the kitchen passing gas and he doesn't even notice:)

a little 3 1/2 year old singing in her high pitched voice "Jesus Loves Me" as she is falling asleep for her nap.

a little Jake trying his sisters boots on and being so happy to have them on.
a little gabi sharing her dinner with her brother, being so kind and caring and helpful.

i know i will look back on these days with the greatest memories and smile!

i'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

hi there.
lots have been going on around here and i feel like i am constantly playing catch-up!
my dad was here for two weeks so all cleaning and schedules went out the window and we just did whatever they wanted...no naps some days and lots of running around!

last week i tried to get caught up on laundry and cleaning, but it didn't go as smoothly as i had hoped. oh well, there is this week to get more done.

i have so much to share with you all about what has been going on around our little house.
where do i even begin....
alright i will just start somewhere and then i may post stuff that is from a while ago... but that is ok!

i have lots of sewing projects in the works too!!! it has been very fun getting to sew again....
since about 7th grade that is:)
