checklist...

TODAY i have gotten a lot of things marked off of my list...

woke up at 6:30am (Jake wanted to get up early)

changed a wet diaper

changed a poopy diaper

made a waffle for gabby

fed jake bananas and oatmeal

changed a poopy diaper

nursed jake, then put him down for a nap

emptied gabby's poopy from her toilet

cut, pureed, froze pears for jake

peeled and boiled potatoes for jake

separated 4 eggs yolks to cook for jake

took jake's temp. 101.7

gave jake tylenol

nursed jake

made gabby lunch

fed jake carrots and potatoes

took jake's temp. 100.4(going down!)

read books with both kids

put gabby down for a nap

nursed jake

STILL NEED TO...

eat lunch

finish ch. 9 homework

begin and finish ch. 11 homework

cook eggs for jake 

puree potatoes for jake

make chicken fajitas, rice and beans for dinner...

i better get started on these next things on my list

oh yeah and i went to bed at 12:45 am and i have also done three loads of laundry!

A Beautiful Day.

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day.
We got to go to church, see family and hunt for eggs.
Gabriella is a very busy two year old, so it makes it difficult to get group pictures.
Here is a good picture of the cast with the spacers,
to allow for the swelling when they reset the bones.
we went to the doctors this tuesday and she now has a pink cast.
we have to go back to the doctor next week for x-rays
to make sure that the bones are healing correctly.
we also had fun getting some eggs filled with candy.
Easter Sunday was a beautiful day because...

HE IS RISEN.

broken bones.

well it was bound to happen...

gabriella broke her radius and ulna in her left forearm.

she was sitting on timeout on a bench 

and she reached for a magazine.

*This is in the er before she got the cast.

she fell and cried for about 2-3 minutes. 

she hadn't had a nap so we just thought she was crying because she was tired...

but 

when she stopped crying jacob asked her to see her arm,

and it was bowed in the wrong direction...

*This is still in the er and she couldn't sit still!!!

we went to the er and she was trying to use it the whole time.

we got a temporary cast and then monday went to the Orthopedic.

they had to reset her bones, which was very painful!

they told us that she has a very high tolerance to pain

and that we really need to be careful and watch her when she gets hurt

in the future.

i will post cast pics. in a bit. 

a great invention.

bath time is the best part of the day for Gabriella

and now Jake too!

nana bought jake this great bath chair and he is loving 

every minute of it. 

it's like a bumbo for the bath! 

he doesn't have to be in the little baby tub anymore.

he can play with the toys and bubbles just like his big sis.

it also makes it very easy for me too because i can kill two birds with one stone.

bath time with bubbles and toys make for a great way to end our day!

home.

we are now home...

the bleeding stopped after four hours,

and the car was towed to a shop to be worked on.

jacob sneezed when he was driving and started bleeding again...

but now it has stopped again and he is taking a much needed nap.

hopefully tomorrow goes a little more smooth! 

did anyone else have anything fun or not fun happen to them today?

what a day!

this April Fools day is becoming quite an interesting day!

Jacob had his post-op appointment this morning at 8:15.

he forgot his wallet at home, so he went to get cash

from his sister at her work. 

he called the doctors office and they have a 15 minute grace 

period if you are late for your appt. 

he got to his appt. at 8:55 and luckily they were still able to see him,

BUT....

as he was parking something blew under the hood of the car 

and a bunch of steam/smoke came out of the hood.

he couldn't check it out because he was very late to the appointment.

I was waiting for an APRIL FOOLS!! but i never got one!!!

This is very REAL...

I was starting to get worried because it had been a long time

and then i got a text saying, "I'm still here, it won't stop bleeding, 

i love you, call you when i can"

Please pray that the bleeding stops soon....

again.... this is NOT an april fools joke!! (i wish it was)

on a positive note...

today is 4 years since jacob asked me to marry him...i am so thankful for my husband!
