c-section day...take one

hello blog land again!
here i am at 630 am ready to leave to have our baby boy this morning! jake was not happy to have me leaving!
we were sent home today still pregnant!

i had an amnio. yesterday at 10 am and it was supposed to be a STAT order.
the doctor was wonderful, but we really questioned the competency of the assistant...and she did not let us down with her incompetency. (not to be mean, but it's true)
when we got to the hospital they went to get the results and they found out that it was not ready because it was sent to the lab with no "orders" which takes 6 hours to process. so our next plan was to give me steroids for the baby's lungs and send me home to wait for the results...which meant no eating or drinking since midnight last night.

then the nurse left again...

when she came back she said there were other problems.
not only was it sitting in the lab with no orders, but it was in the wrong lab.
so they had to get orders for it and then send it to the right lab to start the testing.
our new plan was to go home with the one dose of steroids and wait to hear from the hospital.
i have to call the hospital tonight at 9 to see if i they have the results...
if not then i can't eat after midnight and i have to call at 530 am to see if they will be doing a c-section at 730 am or if i will get my second dose of steroids at 8am??

who knows...we don't...the nurses don't...the doctor doesn't...so we sit and wait...will it be friday or saturday???

it's all in the Lord's hands! and i am very excited!

**it has been a very very long time since i have blogged, not because i haven't wanted to, but we have had computer issues.

  2. wow. such suspense. and most people with c-sections know right when they are going to have the baby! Isn't the Lord full of surprises for you. hhaha. I'll be praying for you. I hope that you have less incompetent people to deal with (however it makes for funnier blogs) and that all goes well. Yay babies!
