c-section...take two

alright preparing for day two really began the afternoon of day one because we were waiting to find out if the lungs were developed for our baby boy.
i called the hospital at 630pm...still waiting for the results from the lab. but the nurse said they were calling and my doctor was calling to get the results. they said my doctor would call me back later...
i called at 930pm...still waiting and now the nurse said my doctor wouldn't call me the hospital would call me when they knew.
1130pm-the hospital called and said the lab needed a few more hours so i should just come in at 615am for a c-section at 730am and that would give them enough time get me ready....or if i wanted to call at like 5am then i could to see if they had the results.
5am-i called the hospital and the results were in!!!
one test said they were borderline developed and the other said they were still immature.
so i had to be there at 8am for another dose of steroids...

7:45am- i arrived ready for my shot!
i saw the charge nurse at about 8:15 and she said there were no rooms available and they were in the middle of a ton of deliveries so i should just go get breakfast and come back...she gave me a free voucher for the cafeteria...so off i went.

i was about half way done and my wonderful nurse from yesterday came into the cafeteria while i was eating. She kind of startled me because i didn't know she was working and i don't know anyone in the hospital, which is why i so truly miss my wonderful UCSD!

so she said, "are you ready to do this?"
i said, "yes!"
she said, "do you want to eat the rest of your food?"
i said, "no!" because i was thinking it would be horrible if she got called to a c-section or a delivery and i had to wait hours, so i could eat later!
she said, "alright well we don't have any rooms so we are going to have to hide somewhere. we are going to have to do this in the nursery in a corner."
i didn't mind where it was cause it was just a quick shot.
so we went through the nursery and into a storage/linen closet type room and shut the door. i was just laughing. she said i need a hip and gave me the shot and we were done in like 2 seconds!
i was so glad i didn't have to wait for a room...
she was so nice and said she wished she could do my c-sec. tomorrow but she had worked from like 7am to 130am and then she was already there the next day working so she wouldn't be working.
she gave me a big hug and told me to go home and eat a ton of food today and a big dinner and be back tomorrow, Saturday at 530am...c-section at 730!

so there it is!
i am so thankful this nurse was working because i know if she wasn't no one would have recognized my name and i could have been there for a long time...
God has really been watching over the whole situation and i know he will not leave our side!

tomorrow, if our little guy has trouble breathing he will be transfered to another hospital with a nicu and jacob can follow the ambulance and stay with him, but i am praying this doesn't happen because i really don't want to be separated, for lots of reasons...so i am a little anxious about that, but i know we are in God's hands!
